Trail House keeps the good times rolling
With its serpentine country roads and beckoning mountain trails, Sonoma County is a cycling mecca. And whether you’re a roadie or a fat tire fanatic, Santa Rosa’s Trail House is a must-stop before or after your ride. Started by mountain biking buddies Glenn Fant and Shane Bresnyan, Trail House is a clubhouse for fans of two-wheeled fun. The two wanted a place to enjoy and post-ride beer and burritos, but found the offerings wanting. So they opened their own place.

Located just downhill from Trione-Annadel State Park, the county’s top mountain bike destination, Trail House is the premier gathering place for the bike tribe. In addition to the pre-ride espresso stop and post-ride watering hole (the changing line-up of beer on and vast selection of canned beer in the fridge are also testament to the fact that Sonoma County is also a beer mecca), Trail House is a bike shop, too. Fant owns Santa Rosa's NorCal Bike Sport and the Bike Peddler; Bresnyan was the former manager at the Bike Peddler. Trail House rents top of the line bikes. There are few places where you can sample such high-end hardware from the likes of Santa Cruz, Ibis and Specialized. The shop's skilled mechanics can fix, tune up, or upgrade your rig. Trail House also sells tires, tubes, jerseys, eyewear and other biking essentials.

Free of charge is the sense of community between your bloody-kneed, Lycra clad biking brethren. With game nights, group rides, clinics for kids and lively viewing of the Tour de France on the flat screen behind the bar, Trail House keeps the good times rolling.
